Ummah Eats ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our mobile application and website.

1. Information We Collect

When you use Ummah Eats, we collect:

Account information: name, email address, and phone number provided during registration.
Order information: delivery addresses, items ordered, and order history.
Payment information: processed securely by Stripe. We never store your full card number.
Device information: push notification token to send order updates.
Location (optional): used only to display nearby restaurants. Not tracked in the background.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

Process and deliver your orders.
Send push notifications about your order status.
Improve our service and resolve issues.
Comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

3. Data Sharing

We share your information only as necessary:

With the restaurant to fulfill your order (name, items, delivery address).
With the delivery driver to complete delivery (name, delivery address).
With Stripe to process payments (email, order amount).
With Supabase, our database provider, subject to their privacy policy.

4. Payments

All payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. Ummah Eats does not store credit card numbers or sensitive payment data. Stripe is PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant. By placing an order, you agree to Stripe's Privacy Policy.

5. Push Notifications

We send push notifications to keep you updated on your order status. You can disable notifications at any time in your device Settings.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Order history is retained for up to 3 years for legal and support purposes. You may request deletion of your account by contacting us at privacy@ummaheats.co.

7. Security

We use TLS encryption for data in transit and Supabase Row Level Security so users can only access their own data.

8. Children's Privacy

Ummah Eats is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Contact us at privacy@ummaheats.co to exercise these rights.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via push notification or email.
